VIP Seating

VIP Seating is a piece meant to encourage thought about the idea of balance and how one may strive for that within our personal lives and community at large. The guillotine brings up ideas of the French Revolution, wherein the populace was tired of the wealth gap, and attempted to re-balance their economic circumstances by changing the power structures in place through uprisings and executions. Meanwhile, the mandala is a traditional tool for meditation, something many cultures use to bring peace and balance to their inner worlds.

This pieces asks the viewer to consider if both tools or symbols are the mirrors of the human desire for equity, one through outward violence and the other through inner stillness, and if both are therefore actually working towards the same outcome of equilibrium.

VIP Seating was featured in the Attleboro Art Museum's National Juried show, Reign Rein Rain in 2025.

It comes framed and wired to hang. In the frame, it measures 13x16".
